A New Earth ~ Class 4 with Eckhart & Oprah & countless 'others'

Here it is Thursday... more than 2 days have transpired since our last class together and other than a few notes that were made during class, the content of that meeting has dissolved. It's gone. All that remains is the essence... and, how gorgeous it is!

Once again, the sweetness of our silence together at the beginning of Monday night's meeting brought a beautiful insight and realization. Regardless of the period of time we sit together in silence, whether it be for a minute ~ like we've been doing now at the start of each class ~ or for many days, the acknowledgment of the silence alone is enough! It is enough to bring us to ourselves, to our true purpose. The inner purpose. The only reason why we're here.

In this brief moment of silence, I noticed this sense of holding the Earth in my hands in my lap and just breathing together. Holding this beautiful being called Earth. Being together. Not the sense of two of us, but of one. One breathing together.

And all it took was one moment of silence...

How precious, this gift of space! Being the space. Holding whatever shows up.

Eckhart mentioned a mantra... "Can I be the space for this?"

Answering that question with a "no", isn't a true answer. Why? You already are the space! How can you not be it?! The only true answer is "yes". Noticing that you are the space.

Bringing this mantra to any difficulty, any negativity, any challenge, any problem ~ whatever may appear. All that is asked of us is to simply be with whatever shows up. Just be with it.

Be the space.

This is very similar to one of the suggested awareness practices that Eckhart also mentioned in class ~ the awareness of transparency. How beautiful! Just like the image of these butterfly wings ~ completely transparent. Bringing this awareness within and feeling the transparency that lives here already.

Meeting the world as transparency. Allowing the world to move through you. Nothing gets stuck. Nothing sticks.

Allow the challeng
es, the problems, the negativity, the difficulty, everything! to simply move through... breathe! Take one conscious breath. Feel the transparency.

Eckhart invited us to pay more attention to our inner state than to the outer world. During class, pay more attention within than to the words (as wonderful as they are!) or images. In our daily life situations, stay connected within while experiencing all of the amazing things this wondrous world has to offer.
