say yes today

I recently saw a newspaper ad that read: Say yes today!

It brought a giggle. How brilliantly intelligent the One is to advertise like this! For some, this ad is just another slogan pointing to form ~ buy this car today! While for others, this ad is a lovely spiritual teaching pointing to the formless. A beautiful reminder of who we are, already in a constant place of yes, of openness. The One who says yes to everything.

Yes! That's who we are ~ the One who says yes to everything.

And that's really what spiritual realization is, the ability, the wisdom to say yes to everything. It's very simple. Unlike the way of the thinking mind with its multi-step plans for how to say yes, or why to say yes, or when to say yes, being simply says yes. Mind says yes, but or yes, if. Being says yes period. Yes.

That's the shift in consciouness, the realization ~ from the mind based way to the way of being. As our dearheart Eckhart says, "it's the shift from the no to the yes." You shift from saying no to Life ~ what is ~ which means fighting Life, denying Life, resisting Life to realizing that you are Life! You are the One and you allow yourSelf to be. You allow Life to be, you say yes to Life as it is. Right now. Just in this moment.

Try this experiment: what is it like to say yes to everything today? An inward yes ~ yes from the heart. Regardless of what the mind has to say, just simply say yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.

And notice what happens...

What are you saying yes to? Life as it is, right in this moment. Why? Because it is. As Eckhart points out, you recognize the futility of fighting what is, since it already is!

Is there anything right now that is asking for a full uncompromising unconditional YES!?

This is the true checking. Awareness aware of itself.

Notice how it feels to give a full welcoming yes to whatever is here right now. Say YES! inside.
