retreat

Tomas and I are in retreat this weekend! We've invited friends (that's all of you!) to join us... whoever is drawn to be here. We aren't teaching anything, just simply meeting whatever arises...

Retreat is a beautiful invitation to step back from the world and be still... to step back from all that is moving and see what never moves... to drink deeply from this unfathomable well of Presence... to realize that you are this well.

The invitation is to rest deeply. That's the call of the heart... the call home... come rest! Sometimes it comes as a gentle whisper and sometimes it comes as a loud booming voice.

In the center courtyard of an ashram I visited in India, a four-sided pole had been purposefully placed ~ placed as a spiritual pointer. The first side said SEEK. The second side said FIND. The third side said ENTER. The fourth side said REST.

You are the rest that you seek. Right here, right now. You are already that. You are already free.

Enter the garden ~ this kingdom of Heaven here on Earth ~ and rest.
