Recently, I've been 'sitting with' (being with, hanging out with, being still with, living with) aversion. Not a particular aversion, just aversion in general. It's come into the dreams of the night as well. I woke up hearing "aversion is a virgin"! They sound the same. This is sometimes how great clues or insights come... through word play. What a puzzle. This morning I looked up the meaning of virgin, just to get a wider perspective and perhaps some clarity. And, there it was... one definition... not yet touched. Ah ha! How intelligent the One is! Aversion is something that has not yet been touched by the light of consciousness. Not yet touched by compassion. It hasn't yet been invited closer for a loving embrace. Wow! How fantastic to touch aversion with the hand of love, to bring it close, surround it with love and witness what happens. I love seeing how aversion then transforms, dissolves, leaves behind its essence... pure presence.
