The meeting of Oprah & Eckhart & A New Earth & 750,000 friends!

In spite of persistent internet technical difficulties, the world was still able to witness this profound live on-line meeting between Oprah & Eckhart and receive the benefits.

Eckhart spoke of a question that came to him years ago... ask Life, the Totality, (Oprah calls this God, Eckhart calls this Consciousness) ~ What purpose do you have for me?

So, rather than asking ~ What do I want from Life?, ask ~ What does Life want from me?

(Ask not what Life can do for you, ask what can you do for Life!)

Eckhart suggested to practice inviting moments of stillness to get to the place where the answers are.

This is simply sitting still. Sitting quietly. Sitting as stillness ~ as yourself.

Hold this question lightly.

Lightly really means to just allow the question to be here, without thinking about it, without seeking an answer in the mind, without forcing or demanding. Holding it gently. And simply enjoy the not-knowing. Not knowing the answer. Very alert to whatever shows up. The feeling sense of lightly is similar to holding the hand with an open palm up in a receiving position. Whereas the opposite, is the feeling sense of holding something tightly with a closed fist.

Sitting in the field of stillness, which is the field of infinite possibilities, allows the true answer to arise organically ~ to reveal itself.

And who knows how or when this will happen. And yet, when it does, it is known beyond a shadow of a doubt.

So, this alert vigilance "waiting" (not the impatient waiting of the mind, tapping its little fingers!) for Consciousness to unveil the answer. Waiting without waiting. En-joying.

This open handed feeling allows Life to take you by the hand and hold you closely and dance you, whispering answers into your ear.

What a beautiful dance!

THANK YOU, Oprah!

THANK YOU, Eckhart!

THANK YOU, One & All!

p.s. Please send blessings to the angels of internet technology so that we can all fully participate in class together next week!

  1. "What purpose do YOU have for me, life"... when Eckhart said that, all thinking stopped. I felt the rightness of how that was phrased.. It feels so different than 'what is my purpose'.. awesome!

  2. It's the best thing that could possibly have been said. As a culture we have focused on getting what we want and thinking that this will bring joy. But as most people can confirm, it just ain't so!
This little fragment of the hour was priceless and will reach many hearts.
    Love,
